I guess I’m not the only one anxious to decorate for fall. Here are three great wreaths I found this week:
1. Want to support your team? Here’s a great idea from Simply Living- her Boomer Sooner wreath could be changed up in your favorite team’s colors, or even just for a season or holiday! I just love the argyle!
2. Not into big wreaths? How about a mini one for your mantle or side table? I love that idea! Plus, if you do like big decorative wreaths, you could easily make a large version of this Mini Fall Wreath from Mine for The Making. 3. For a bold statement, why not try this Thumbtack Wreath by Madigan Made? It’s gorgeous, and with different ribbon, could be used another holiday as well! I see a silver one in my future….. Thanks for the inspiration ladies! Grab a featured button if you like:
A few months ago, I attended a baby shower for one of my friends from church. I wanted to do something for a shower gift, so I put together a cute gift basket for her.
I was inspired by this “Time for Baby” gift basket from Darling Doodles. What a great idea! However, I changed a few things. First of all, I used slightly different items. And second, the tags weren’t really my style. I wanted something a little different, and I wanted the wording to be a bit different as well, so I created my own gift tags! We’ll get to those in a minute. In a “Time for Baby” gift basket, I chose to give gifts for feeding time, time to get dressed, and bath/bed time. You could also do play time, but I chose not to since she already has plenty of baby toys. I chose a baby food spoon for feeding time. They did not have these when my littles were babies, and I’m so jealous of those of you that have them! How much easier would feeding on the go have been! So now they are a staple baby shower gift for me. I chose some cute shoes for dressing time, since EVERYONE gives outfits at a shower. And finally, for bed/bath time, I gave her a little lovey-size blanket I sewed along with some lavender baby wash (my favorite for helping baby get sleepy!)
I finished the gifts off with these cute gift tags. You can download them by right clicking on the image and saving them to your computer, or by clicking here for a (somewhat) editable file.
Everything went in a cute gift bag, and I was off to the shower! The mom-to-be loved it! And I had fun giving something useful while still being able to add that handmade touch to it.
I’m linking these up to some of these parties this week. Come party along with me!
I’m super excited, because next weekend I was invited to a mass card-making party! The ladies in my water aerobics class (hello!!!) are super crafty and felt I was worthy enough to join them this time around!
We each picked a theme and are getting enough supplies to make 35 of the same card. We’ll get together, put them all together, and go home with an awesome set of homemade cards to last throughout all the occasions this year!
I picked the theme of baby cards. It seems like I go through these more than anything. Not long ago I made a slew of baby onesie cards, and it turns out all my friend who had babies, had girls. So now I have a bunch of boy ones waiting to be used. That made me think that having some gender neutral baby cards on hand wouldn’t be such a bad idea!
I tried to keep it clean and simple so that making 35 of these wouldn’t be a chore. What do you think? I even got to use my new embosser to make the giraffe pop a little more!
Now to go cut 35 of everything…. wish me luck! I’ll update with the other cards I’ll be making. I can’t wait to see what everyone else has come up with!
