Dollar Store Sign to Fall Sign
I now make it a habit to dig through the Dollar Store bins for usable signs. It’s amazing what you can find if you look at things with a creative eye. I saw this sign at a store and immediately thought “What can I make this into?”

It’s cheap, has scratched paint, and isn’t really my style- even at Easter time! With fall coming up, I decided to make a little fall wall hanging.
I painted it, added a little ribbon, some vinyl, and some wood stickers from Michaels. Here’s the end result:
Simple, cheap, and great for fall. Linking up to some of THESE PARTIES.
I found the mini-pumpkins at Michael’s- with my 40% off coupon they cost about $3.00. The wreath form and burlap I already had, so this was a frugal project for me.
I took my wreath form,
wrapped it in strips of burlap (hot-glued on)
and hot glued pumpkins all over it.
I chose to just put them where they fit, but you could do them in straight even rows if you’d like. I just did the front, around the top edge, and a row towards the center of the wreath.
I added a double bow made from wired ribbon, which I also used to hang the wreath from my front door.
While it took awhile to glue all the pumpkins on, it was a simple wreath to make, and I love the touch of fall it brings into my home.
Did you make a wreath for fall? Are you totally over wreaths? I’d love to see what you use on your door. Share it on my Facebook page or share the link in the comments below.
