Occasionally Crafty: Simple Spring Garland

Posted by Valerie Earnest

You may have seen this cute little purchase I made on my Instagram feed last week.  (Our blog is finally on Instagram, so we’d love for you to hop over and follow us!)

It didn’t take long for me to figure out what I wanted to do with these.

You can easily make this with a needle and thread.  The cute little balls are from Michael’s, and with my 40% off coupon they cost about $3.50.

To make, simply double up your thread (or use embroidery floss) and just thread the balls by poking the needle through the center of each ball.  I did have to use a thimble for some of the balls, but that’s mainly because I only had a short, thin needle to work with.  (Do your needles all disappear too?)

Thrifty, easy, and beautiful.  Right up my alley.

This came together really quickly.  It took me about 15 minutes.  And that was because my poor little RA-stiffened fingers had trouble pulling the needle out of each ball.  I bet you could do it in half the time!

Make this project now or pin it for later.

And, see what else I’m pinning for Spring/Easter:
